Contest Winners Announced

Thank you everyone for participating and voting in my first contest of 2007. There were over 200 people who voted on the 12 wonderful images in the contest. You all sure do know how to spread the word. Wow!

I'm excited to announce that there was a tie between two of the images. :) Instead of having a run-off, I've decided to give each of those clients the prizes I announced. This means I'm giving away 5 photo sessions. :) Because I added the two additional free photo sessions, I've decided to change the date that the session must be booked. Since the second half of the year is the busier part of the year with senior portraits and holiday portraits, these prizes must be booked by May 31, 2007.

An Evening of Music with The Bach Festival Society

In addition to portrait work, I've recently had the pleasure to work on some corporate photography projects. One such project is with the Bach Festival Society. A few weeks back, I shared that the Bach Festival recently launched a brand new website and I was hired to provide all the photography on the new website. This year I've been working with them to photograph the performances they have.

Last night I had the pleasure of hearing the wonderful Garrick Ohlsson perform at Rollins College and then photographed him with some of the Bach Festival board, donors and staff. These two photos were two of my favorites -- especially grouped together like this. :) As you can see, Mr. Ohlsson was not only an amazing pianist, but a delightful person as well.

Winter at the Beach

This past Monday, some friends and I decided to spend the holiday at the beach. So, we packed up towels and blankets and snacks and sand toys and two kids and drove over to the Canaveral National Seashore.

You can see that the kids had a blast!

New Contest Starts Today: Win a Free Session

I've been spending part of the new year wrapping up my 2006 business and realizing how thankful I am for my first (partial) year in business. As a thank you to all of the wonderful people I meet and photographed in 2006, I thought it would be fun to hold a contest.

I went back through all my 2006 sessions and picked my favorite image from each session (I cannot even begin to tell you how hard that was!) Of course, I ended up with too many wonderful images and it was hard to narrow it down. So, with the help of a good friend, I put all the numbers of the images in a hat and she picked out 12 for me to use in this contest.

Now, YOU have to help me decide which is your favorite image of 2006 and that client will receive a prize. In fact, you might even win a prize.

New Contest Starts Monday: Win a Session

January at Leu Gardens

It was such a beautiful day today that I made a quick stop at Leu Gardens with my camera. The flowers were so gorgeous, I just have to share with you:







And, by the way, Leu Gardens makes a great location for a photo session.

New Bach Festival Society Website

A few months ago I started working with the Bach Festival Society to assist in their marketing efforts, including a complete revamp of their image library. I had the distinct pleasure of photographing this amazing group's rehearsals and performances in October through December and have (so far) left them with a great collection of photographs they can use in their marketing efforts.

One of those efforts was a complete revamp of their website, which launched today. The designer is Meredy Jenkins, Orlando. Photographs are taken by me. :) It's really neat seeing something you worked on for so many months come to fruition. :)

Check out the new website and order tickets to their upcoming performances. They are really an amazing group of performers and if you don't take in one of their performances in the beautiful Rollins College Chapel, you are really missing out on something special.

2007 Specials and Promotions

I currently have three specials/promotions running.

1. Book a maternity session in January or February 2007 and receive a newborn session for free! ($175 value).

2. Book a regular session in January or February 2007 and receive a BONUS $25 print credit.

3. Tell a friend and when they sign up for a session, you AND your friend will receive a bonus 5x7" print. When you tell 5 friends, you'll receive a free photography session.
