Dry Florida

This was the scene at the end of my street a few hours ago. My neighborhood backs up to woods, brush and wilderness. Because of the dry conditions, it caught fire today. It never spread to any of the houses in the neighborhood, but got very, very close. I'm about five houses away from that area. Luckily, the Orange County Firefighters got it under control in a relatively short period of time and are now monitoring it. I took this photo standing on the front balcony of my house. That was a little too close for comfort!
