The Newborn Who Finally Slept

This little guy gave me a run for my money by refusing to sleep at our session. :) Not a problem ... I just came back the next day and he slept like a baby. ha! :)

Holiday Card Preview: Modern Holiday

Today I'm previewing the second of my two holiday card design sets: Modern Holiday. There are 7 total designs in this set (4 are shown below). Its simple, colorful and definitely modern.

My holiday cards are double-sided press printed cards. All the designs can be modified and I will work with you on that. Text is customizable. Space can be left blank on the back for your own, handwritten message (see example at the end of the card designs.)

This year I'm offering Holiday Card Mini Sessions on October 20th (Loch Haven Park) and November 4th (Rollins College). Mini sessions are $250 includes a 30 minute session, web-based slideshow of all your proofs and your choice of either 50 holiday cards or 1 high resolution digital negative (so you can print your own photos), 1 11x14", 2 5x7", 1 set of wallets. Right now those session dates are open to current clients -- on August 22nd, the dates will be open to new clients.

I have to share with you an amazing video of Team Kite Ballet Dancing performed by iQuad in a Berkley kite festival recently. My friend, David, is a member of iQuad and sent this to me. iQuad is a team of 8 professional kite flyers who perform at events, competitions and festivals all over the world.

Summer Friend Special: Now Until Labor Day

Here's how it works:

1. Call a friend and ask them to join you for a KarenLeslie Photography session.

2. Pick a location for your session (your house, her house, the park!)

3. You and your friend can split the cost of a session and you split the print credit. A session fee is $250 and the print credit is $50. So, each of you pay $125 for a session and get a $25 print credit.

4. The best part is that you'll get photos of your children as well as photos of your children and their friends. What a fantastic memory to treasure!

One of the things I love...

One of the things I love about owning my own business is meeting other people who own their own business. There's an energy ... a passion ... an instant comaraderie. I love it!

Decorate WITH your life

When you are making an investment in a photography session, you are really making an investment in art. The art is YOUR life.

I have a new guide that provides a variety of ideas on how to display your photography as art in your home. I wanted to share a couple of my favorites with you today.
